I could see Kai swallow hard, as he walked over to my father and took the microphone. It was the cutest thing, seeing how nervous he was for tonight. I couldn’t blame him, when you shift from a twenty-person pack to a thousand-plus pack. But I knew he was going to do great, and right now, I couldn’t be more proud of him. My mother came to stand beside me, as she took my hand and squeezed it gently as she leaned in.
“If you ever want to see your father cry, tonight is the night.” We grinned at each other as I looked over, seeing my dad had his arms on his Beta and Gamma’s shoulder, looking over at Kai with pride, his gaze shortly shifting at me as he gave me a playful wink.
