“Sweetheart, you and Kai wait here for me, I’ll be right back.” My mom spoke, as she walked along with the nurses, following my father into a room where they would check on his wounds. He didn’t seem too badly hurt, but he had lost a lot of blood. I was still holding on to Kai, as he had his arm wrapped around my shoulder. His whole body was tense, and I could understand why. He was in another pack’s territory, and last time he was here, he was sentenced to death by my own father.
