“How was you night?” Mr. Reaves asked when his class was finished and Paige was walking out.
She turned back to flash a smile
“It was a lot better than expected. It was way too quiet and lonely but I experienced a sense of peace as I relived moments from memory lane.”
“That’s nice. Are you going back there now?” He asked as he walked closer to her.
“Well, not now. I’m going to the hospital first then to the Sanctuary to lay my mother to rest.”
“I could always give you a drop if you like.”
She contemplated saying yes, but just then another teacher poked his head into the classroom.
“Mr. Reaves, there’s a staff meeting now in the teacher’s quarters.”
“Be there soon.” Mr. Reaves replied, his eyes falling on back to Paige, with sadness.
