They all helplessly listened as Officer Grimes struggled to take breathes.
The officer who had previously answered the phone, stood crouched down behind his opened door with his hand to his head. “He’s not human... he’s going to kill him.” he terrifyingly whispered aloud to himself. The fallen phone was below him and Officer Haynes overheard the current situation.
“DAEMON! DON’T DO IT!” Officer Haynes pleaded into the phone as if he was talking to him directly. Again and again he pleaded as if he was being heard.
Devil’s ear twitched as he slowly and painfully tightened his grip on Officer Grimes neck. With heightened senses, he could hear the voice clearly, but he shook his head, ignore it completely.
