I grab my suitcase and went to the nearest subway station and wait for the train to come.
I took a train and went to meet grace. She worked in a 5-star hotel as a restaurant manager assistant. She is lucky she had a good job but not me and it's not like I'm jealous of her it's just like that I'm so struggling in my life. I don't have a job and I'm trying to get a scolership to complete the final year of the master's.
I stood outside of the tall building and glance up at the sky and thought
" I'm sorry mom and dad I couldn't take care of our house, that's the only memory I have left and now I'm losing it... please help me to save our house"
I wipe my tears and took a deep breath and step forward, the door slide open by itself. I went inside and text grace, where is she? she texted me back and told me to wait for her in the lobby area.
I went to the lobby area and sat on the armchair and scan the whole area beautiful crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling and antique decorations pieces were placed all over and a huge flower vase. Everything looks antique and expensive.
" Miss Valerie Albert... I heard someone called my name. I turn my face back but no one was there. I thought I miss heard anything. I glance again at the front but this time Shawn willow standing in front of me. I jumped out of the armchair in surprise.
" Hi! I mean good afternoon Shawn what are you doing here? don't tell me you are stalking me" I said
" Good afternoon Valerie and am I look like a stalker to you," he said
I take a good look at him and mutter
" You look like a model to me so, handsome"
" What!! I didn't hear you clearly" he said
" Sorry I was just kidding, just lighten up my mood and what are you doing here? I said
" O don't tell me, you don't have again room reservation," he said
" Oh no, I can't afford a room in this expensive hotel, and my friend work here. I'm waiting for her" I said
" I don't think it's that much expensive and You have a suitcase that's why I asked and who's your friend maybe I know her," he said
" Oh please... You don't know anything about that you know this 5-star hotel charged us double and how can people waste so much money in staying in this expensive hotel. I'll never do that if I have money and secondly this suitcase is not mine, it's my friends... Ummm never mind and how you know her and did you also work in this hotel" I said and he starts laughing
" Wow, I never thought about that... Ummm I mean kinda of you can say that I work here," he said
" Did I say something wrong... I'm sorry I talked non stop" I said
" Oh no you didn't say anything wrong and please have a seat," he said and
I sit on the armchair and Shawn sit next to me and he asked me for coffee or something but I told him, I don't need anything because I'm so stressed my appetite died.
" Miss Valerie Albert so what you do? Shawn asked me
"please call me Valerie and I'm in the final year of Business management but I also write a script it's like a hobby or you can call it a dream to write a script for a movie," I said
" That's amazing and what you were doing in Greece... I'm sorry I shouldn't ask you that" Shawn said
" Oh no that's fine... I couldn't complete my sentence because a man came to Shawn and whisper something into his ears. Shawn pointed him to go outside and he turns his face towards me and said," I'm sorry Valerie I have to leave now. I have a meeting to attend hope you don't mind"
" No worries, it's totally fine, and thank you it was nice meeting with you," I said with a bright smile.
" My pleasure hope we meet again and take care of yourself, Valerie," he said and walk towards the exit but his eyes were on me. I wave my hand and said goodbye but then I remember I should say sorry to him but I was late because he left...
" Hey! Valerie who are you waving at. I'm over here" Grace said from behind me
I turn around and said," Hello grace, what's up"
" I'm great what happened to you? why you look so pale" she asked me
" I need to talk to you about something, can we talk somewhere more private," I said
" Yeah sure... come with me Valerie," she said
She leads me into a beautiful office, I asked her is this your office.
" Yeah! this is my office you never came to see my office' grace said
" This is so beautiful and yeah I never been here. Grace can I stay at your place only for the night" I said
" Yeah you can but why is there any problem," she said
" Yeah I am in big problem... you know my best friend Josh and Madison both fraud with me and sold my house for 2 million pounds," I said
" What!! but why and how... tell me everything" grace said with a shocking expression and I told her the whole story, how they trick me and I fall into their trap so easily.
