Rogues. So many of them that they swarmed the forest and entered my territory before the patrol had a chance to warn us they were coming. I was outside in a few moments, grateful that I knew Alyssa was safely back in the house, shifting into my large wolf form and joining my men as women and children ran to safety. I killed one rogue before he made it anywhere near the treelines, bounding into the forest, my paws thudding loudly against the ground. As Alpha, it was my duty to protect my people and I was furious that so many rogues had dared to encroach on land that was not theirs. I could see my warriors ahead, working in small teams to take down the rogues, but they were easily outnumbered. I joined the fray.
