It's done. I stared at Xavier wide-eyed, unable to believe that I'd gone through with it. He seems remarkably composed as he sits there adjusting his tie, a thoughtful expression on his face. I shook my head trying to get the image of Theodore's look of betrayal out of my mind. I hadn't seen what happened after I got into the limousine, but I could see that Xavier's knuckles were red and could put two and two together. Xavier had hit him. I didn't know whether to feel bad about that or pleased, given how Theodore had reacted and insulted me.
