Tonight I have had to make the most difficult decision of my life. I finally have a mate, someone created just for me, my own life partner and what do I do? I leave her alone on the most important night of her life. In a perfect world I should be with her right now but my life is far from being perfect. I am also not even normal so for that reason, I just can't be with her. I don't know what is going to happen to her tonight, I don't know if she will even be okay but one thing I know for sure is that it is safer this way.
The fact that she is going into heat means that not only is she ready to mate but she's also ready to reproduce. Up until tonight I never realised how big of a deal that is. Vampires cannot reproduce, that is because technically, they are the living dead.
