Hailey's POV
I will the first to admit that going to the mountains was just a big waste of time. I say that because despite our efforts, we couldn't find the vampire. I was disappointed the most because I was so sure that he was there. I know it for a fact that a couple of months ago, he was there. I don't even know how he managed to get out but now that he is free, it is up to us to find him and hope that Minerva hasn't found him.
Going back home was not easy, I had to face things I didn't want to face. I have seen a change in myself and everyone else around me, especially Ashton, I don't know how he did it but he seems to be tamed, too tamed and I am worried. I keep on thinking that it is only a matter of time till someone comes running to my father about dead humans. We afterall live
