The siege of the Selirian and Atheayuridian armies around the Fortress of Zurin lasted a few weeks until they were finally successful in retaking the fort. Handarian soldiers who did not die trying to stop them managed to escape to Fort Ouquiris in the County of Reimfred. As a new enemy invasion of his lands became more and more imminent, this time an army too large to be stopped, the Count of Reimfred decided to send his wife and many civilians to the Pontal.
