It was chaos, nobody knew what to do but they also didn’t know how to contest the king’s decision; if the Selirians took Reimfred and the Atheayuridians took Arshan, the Handarian army would never be able to prevent them from reaching the capital. And even if it was possible to defeat them here, an attack on the heart of the handarian power could cause irreversible damage. Kira hasn’t had a single opportunity to meet Eron since then, so she followed his order: she tried to convince her fellow lords that they needed her women, especially in the face of that situation. She had the support of Reimfred and his vassals, which was a start.
