I stepped out of the packhouse and noticed the two SUVs were ready for us. I saw Raj standing next to Matt and some of the other warriors and I felt my heart drop. I walked down the steps and met with the group. “Keep your eyes open and watch out for any signs of rogues or intruders” I ordered the group. I looked at Raj, who had a blank expression on her face.
“Raj ride with me” I suggested. She turned her gaze towards me. “I rather not. I’ll ride with Matt and the others. It’s not up for discussion” she told me coldly before moving away from me. I clenched my jaw, feeling the anger bubbling on the surface. I had to keep my cool. I couldn’t just lash out on her again.
