*Raj’s POV*
I gave the driver his fare as I stepped out. I looked at the park entrance, illuminated by fairy lights over an archway. There were a few couples walking around, even though it was already dark. I sighed and walked through the entrance, rubbing my arms as a slight breeze made me shiver. My head was in turmoil. My heart felt torn. I wasn’t sure what I should do anymore. Arkyn was trying, but it felt as if he was trying to prove something. Was I reading too much into it? I wasn’t sure. But the way Vanessa acts around him, and how he may say one thing, but won’t set her in her place, it just didn’t sit right with me.
I really wanted to rip that smile off her face. But I can’t even shift. The last time I partially shift it was through a charm, and it hurt Ember in the process.
