Darkness. Once again I’m shrouded in darkness. I can’t feel anything…can’t see anything. Where is Ember? Usually she’s around, but I can’t sense her again. Why do I feel so empty? ‘Ember?’ I called out, the echo extending into the nothingness. But nothing, no echo back, and no snarling or sneering. I felt so cold….where was everyone? Why wasn’t I awake? ‘Ember!’ I tried again, but to no avail. The mist that usually would surround me never showed, and Ember never made an appearance. Has my own wolf abandoned me? Feeling the desolation and despair I sat down, hugging my knees to my chest as I felt the shivers run down my spine. ‘r…j…’ I heard in the distance.
