Locking eyes with Erik she had to keep her ground. This would need to happen. She’d caught a glimpse of the demon earlier when she drank from Erik and it triggered a vision she’d had before that surged to her and she knew what she had to do.
She hoped Erik would just allow this to happen, because regardless of his protectiveness right now she was going to find this demon with or without him. She just hoped it was with her instead of having to do it without him.
After all she still had to hide from him, she could at least keep him in this loop if he was willing to be. The resigned look he gave her way caused a large grin to come over her. “I know I’m not changing your mind. I’ll come with you. I’m not letting you out of my sight if I can help it.”
