The meal was conducted in awkward silence until Ya-Ya started the conversation peppering Franklin with questions. He was cajoled into talking about himself, growing up with a single mother in Chicago, his stepfather and his two younger siblings both of whom were married with families while he remained a bachelor. Once he had run out of things to talk about Franklin looked at Ya-Ya who gave him a pointed look and nodded toward the still silent Aubrey. His brow furrowed until he realized she expected him to ask the questions. “So, Aubrey…tell me about yourself,” Franklin hesitantly prodded.
