“What smells so good!” Ronni asked barging into the kitchen just as Aubrey set plates in front of Nicolas and Jamie.
Even though lunch was currently being served Nicolas, Aubrey and Jamie had avoided it seeking shelter in the kitchen. As Nicolas expected the kitchen staff was only too happy to give Aubrey a space to work and as he warned the cooks paid close attention to everything she did to learn how to make the dish themselves.
The audience didn’t bother her and she assured them they were welcome to try it if they wished. Luckily it was relatively simple for her to multiply the recipe as it was a meal generally intended to feed a lot of people.
“Mommy made jambalaya!” Jamie announced.
“She did?” Ronni looked longingly at the pot.
