Leaning against the counter Cooper sighed. There wasn’t much going on as he scanned the showroom floor. He didn’t have a view of the door when it opened but he stiffened at attention when the four-year-old boy suddenly darted into view and headed to a SUV on display whose door happened to be open. “Hey! Kid!” Cooper marched toward him. “Get out of there. We can’t sell it if you track mud and crumbs inside.” The boy frowned before saying, “Well if my daddy buys it, it won’t matter if it’s my crumbs.” “Yeah right,” Cooper snorted. “Your daddy could never afford it. There is nothing here for you. Beat it.” The boy’s brown eyes, so dark they almost seemed as black as his curly hair, pierced through him in what would be an intimidating stare if he was older. Still frowning the boy darted
