Seven Months Later
Gideon sat down in the bleachers ready to cheer for his nephew’s tee-ball team, the Bayou Bears. The four to seven-year-olds were bouncing with excitement as they gathered around their coaches for final words of encouragement. Some parents were already calling out to their children to win despite the fact they wouldn’t be keeping score.
Gideon turned his attention to their opponents, the Rougarous.
