Standing with his daughter Selena in his arms, Nick was standing watching Lucinda. She was kneeling down in the water of the lotus pond, he’d had created for her and the women from the White Lotus. They were all there talking to each other, picking lotus flowers for gifts to be given to the nine new pups born in the pack this morning.
Nick had walked outside and over there to the pond with her, and he'd taken little Selena; thier daughter now 7 months old, from her. So that she could go and be with them, he had seen them do this a lot, planting lotus flowers, picking lotus flowers, just coming out here to wade in the water, and talk amongst themselves. It was such a natural thing for them all to do.
