As much as Nick wanted to pull Lucinda’s naked body on top of his and have his way with her again last night, he had refrained from doing so. He and Rip had nearly lost control yesterday afternoon in the shower with her. Even the pain that had burned him from his Alpah’s Oath, had not stopped him the second time he’d felt it.
He’d been mating her furiously, again. It seemed that just s*x was out of the question, until she was Marked anyway. He knew once he had placed his Mark on her, his needs would ease off, and his Alpha’s blood would calm down, as would his wolf.
