Braidy returned shortly with Valerie. His hand was clamped firmly around the woman’s upper arm. Nick could see that the man’s knuckles were white, and that he had one hell of a grip on her, it seemed. Valerie looked pissed off as much as Braidy did. Which was unusual, that man hardly got mad, didn’t have it in him, or not that Nick had ever seen, until the other day over Lucinda hearing pack members bad mouthing him that was. Now this? Interesting it was.
