Klaud had been sleeping for an hour or so in my arms but I was still awake, my head space full of what happened with Klaud and also… dad and I’s conversation after dinner.
I told my parents that Klaud would be temporarily staying in the palace while the wound in her legs healed. As per tradition, since we were engaged, she should be under my care already. She should be inside the palace and be regarded as my wife. However, our situation was different, we couldn’t reveal our relationship, avoided talks, and rumors that could complicate our situation, and Klaud refused to stay by my side until we are absolutely sure that there would be no problem in the future.. I didn’t press it on her, I didn’t want to place her either in a compromising situation.
