The morning after the medicos signed him off as healthy, he returned to his CHU. He’d slept okay that night—well, as okay as he ever did since Gerta Kozlov had invaded his thoughts—but he had to be mission-ready by nightfall. A Night Stalkers clock was flipped, always flying at night, and switching your schedule back and forth was a pain in the a*s.
