The cold air makes me shiver. I am sitting on the back of a bright green dragon far above the Colorado Rockies. A red dragon soars nearby and looks at me with a golden eye. A plume of smoke rises from his jaws.
‘I thought you said you knew where the cave is,’ He growls in my head.
‘I do,’ I state. ‘Fly lower,’ I instruct the green dragon. I am desperate to find the cave that Raven was being held in. I hadn’t seen it. I was going by what Jeff Starsky had said. I was serious about finding my Beloved, Raven, and finally claiming her.
‘You better not be lying,’ The red dragon snarls in my head.
I say a quick spell, and it sharpens my eyesight like that of an eagle. I scan the cliffs and finally see an opening with a large lip. ‘There,’ I point.
‘Where?’ The red dragon demands.
