My butt hurts from being dropped on the ground like a sack of potatoes. I glare as Thelonius rushes down the hall. I finally get to my feet and stumble back out onto the balcony. I look toward the horizon, where a thick forest surrounds the large kingdom.
‘Nico,’ I call out in my mind. Enzo said an army had surrounded the land, and I hoped he was right when he said Nico was among them. ‘Nico,’ I call again.
‘Raven,’ His soft voice makes me burst into tears. ‘Are you crying?’ He asks as I sense Morax in my mind as well.
‘I miss you. I want to see you,’ I cry out.
‘I miss you too, baby.’ He pauses.
‘Thelonius just tried to, ‘ I trail off as I don’t want to relive what almost happened. I sense anger coming from Morax and Nico.
