Jaxon's POV
We have been in the safe room for three long, worrisome days. We do get updates, but that does little to ease our concern. The only good thing to come out of this is that I get to spend a lot of time with Jillian. We spent our time playing board games, cards, and other activities with Ellie's children, keeping them occupied. For eleven and nine-year-olds they display an incredible amount of maturity in how they are dealing with the stress of missing both their parents.
Jillian is amazing. She has demonstrated to me, and everyone in the know, that she will make an amazing queen. She has very quietly taken charge of the children, making sure they are entertained when bored, comforted when sad, fed when hungry, and put to bed when tired.
