Elena Shadows flickered against the walls. Orange swallowed the horizon. Screams began to erupt as the smell of smoke reached me. I watched in horror as houses began to go up in flames. One after another, after another. No hesitation. No remorse. My chest tightened knowing it was only a matter of time before this house was next. It didn't feel real.
