Elena The hum of the car's engine pulled me out of my sleep. I shifted, slowly cracking open my eyes. I was lying in the back seat. Trees blurred outside the window. I looked up. Jeremy had his face pressed against the glass, his arm draped over my middle, his jacket bunched up under my head. Thorin was driving, Alpha Keith in the passenger seat, talking softly. My head spun as I sat up. Jeremy sucked in a deep breath, his eyes fluttering open. "Hey, you're up." He smiled. "Where are we?" "On our way home. We should be back soon." "I slept that whole time?"
