Elena My leg bounced nervously under the table as I re-read the same paragraph of my book for the tenth time, the words refusing to sink in. I glanced at the clock at the far end of the library. Five minutes until the final bell rang and Jeremy and I would go to the pool for swim lessons. Though I technically never agreed, I knew I was being cornered. There wasn't anything I could do but agree. Not unless I wanted more drama in my life. It was attention I couldn't afford, not with the amount of sneaking around I had been doing lately.
