The truth is, I just wanted to prattle something with Ares until he agrees to back down from Prosepene and Tartarus. I knew I made a mistake by bringing up his soulmate but it looks like that was the only soft spot he had. Nothing else would've interested him if not for his mate.
Ares was studying my face under such a scrutinizing gaze, "Tell me. What do you know about her?" He demanded, taking a step closer to me."Do you know where she is now?" Even though his voice was stoic as he spoke, he couldn't hide the anguish in his eyes.
