“Thanks,” Darna said, ignoring Iola. By the time Myril was on her feet, Darna had disappeared again. “I can’t stay here alone,” Iola complained. “Especially not with…” She gestured toward the spot where the Cerean ship was anchored. “I’ll see you back at the bridge,” Myril said, hoping to reassure her. “You can get back there all right.” “But I can’t!” Iola protested. “You’ll have to,” Myril said. For the moment, Darna needed her help more than Iola did. Then she left. Myril didn’t like walking across the city alone either, but she knew her way well enough, thanks to Darna’s reports.
