As they pulled up along the promenade they saw the small burger café with its tables and chairs scattered out onto the pavement, there were even some tables down the steps and onto the sand of the little beach where the students loved to swim in the summer. All the tables were full and the place was jumping with the chatter of happy people enjoying their Friday night.
“Nice spot.” Talon commented as he got out. “You’ll be lucky to get served quickly though…”
Nolan stood on the pavement assessing the crowd, looking over their heads, scanning.
“Looking for someone?” Kysenia purred as she walked past him.
Nolan flicked his eyes down to her. “Someone? No, I was looking for an empty table…”
Daniel snorted as he looked around too. Nolan gave him a dirty scowl. “Something to say, pet?”
