Jared He sat in his office on Friday afternoon and read the report on Carlotti’s behavior around Wynta, and all that she had said, his father had spent the morning inside the pack questioning her. No one had come forward to say they were helping her with anything, but there was one, though it was a wolf not of this pack, but of her old pack that she knew. He shook his head when reading about how she’d gotten that text message sent to Wynta. She had heard him call Dwane to tell him he was barely landed, and was running late, and realized at that moment that she could have it so that Wynta believed Jared wasn’t coming to get her.
