A goodbye kiss from Theo, and I was off to this woman's home. Kitty filled me in on what that poor woman had been going through and how she felt so stuck in the rut she calls her life and had no idea how to get out. They have tried to take her away from her abusive partner, but she keeps going back. It is not unusual for the woman to return to the abuser; it becomes a cycle of hope which, more often than not, ends up in failure. Kitty is beside herself, trying to get through to this woman. She has seen so many times that women do not leave or leave and return, only for the violence to continue and end up dead or maimed for life. I have had little to do with this side of things, but I understand, I kept going back to visit my Mother only for her to be angry that I had shown up
