Forgetting You

I groan, hearing worried voices chattering above me. They are muffled, but I can make out for the most part what they are talking about even though I can't quite register everything they are saying. I try to open my eyes, to take in my surroundings, but my eyes don't budge. More muffled voices fill my ears along with the sounds of beeping machines as doors seem to open and close. A weird smell permeates the room, possibly the mixture of disinfects and chemicals, yet there seems to be a distinct smell of blood lingering in the air like a mixture of chemicals. Something about the scents gives me hospital vibes. I try to open my eyes again, they twitch, fluttering lightly, but still nothing.
