Chapter Forty two

~Elliot~ I had never felt pain like this in my life. I laid on my bed, every muscle in my body screaming at me for the slightest movement, my body protesting that sleep would be so good right about now, but knowing that I should get up. It had been two weeks since Theo started to come over to help train the shelter residents, and even though werewolves were supposed to heal more quickly than humans, anyone who said they should be able to work out and not ‘feel the burn’ had never been trained by Theo.  I could tell why he was head enforcer, and why Jonny was in such great shape. He didn’t care that I was passed out on the floor gasping for breath, feeling like I had too much oxygen and also not enough in my system all at once, my limbs heavy, my head light. Theo wanted me to keep going,
