I looked up to Jonathan, smiling as he smiled back down at me. Maria was staring at us, her lipstick smeared slightly around her lips due to the drinks she'd downed. "Well, Missy, Liam won't like this." She let out a hiccup and gave us a dazed look. Jonathan's eyes narrowed when Maria mentioned Liam.
"Liam is a guy I met today that gave me some answers, Jonathan. Alpha Liam is no threat," I say, releasing him from my grip. Jonathan smiled and pecked me on the cheek.
"If you say he's nothing, I trust you," he says softly before leaving to Uncle Austin's side. I turned back to Maria, rolling my eyes at her while she made kissy faces at the man she took beer from. The man didn't even look disgusted at her as she tried to flirt. I stood between them, being the good friend I am.
