“Alright Conner, we are going to pull up about a quarter-mile from the diner. What’s the first thing we do?” I quiz the youngun’, today is his first time going undercover.
“Check out the building?” That answer doesn’t sound quite as confident as I would like, I need Conner to step up his game.
“Correct. We’ll hide well across the road, on an angle, and pull out a pair of binoculars. We need to stay out of sight of anyone who might have keen eyesight. I want you to pay attention to the setup inside the diner: where the booths are, the stools, how many people are inside, where the waitresses come out with the food, where they stand around chatting instead of working, where the cash register is.
