“Don’t you think it’s a bit odd Terri hasn’t phoned us?” I asked Colin one morning while I was in the boys’ office. “It’s been two days.”
“Theressa has a set way she does things. When away for work she’ll check in once a week with me. She hates talking with Stav on the phone, and she doesn’t trust him to pass along any messages,” Colin replies without even looking up from his phone. “She left on a Monday, so she will likely call Sunday.”
“That was before. I kinda thought she would at least phone me,” I pout.
“Aww, does the Queen not feel special anymore?” he teases. “Her most loyal subject hasn’t slipped her a message in a few days? Welcome to being generally ignored, just like the rest of us.”
