"I'm the worst ever curse out there disguised as the most beautiful blessing. You will burn to ashes if you get any closer."

"If I burn, let me burn beside you than burn without you. After all, it is my life and my decision. And I won't regret it for a second."

~~~~~~~•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•~~~~~~~
Snow was anything but normal. She was a loner, completely invisible in school, the only surviving child of unfortunate parents, unknown relative of a teacher, and she had a secret of her own about which nobody had any idea about.
But everything changed when she met with an accident and came back from jaws of death. Literally.
And a pair of hauntingly alluring eyes she found herself daydreaming about almost all the time.
The new start of life and school brings in a lot more than what she anticipated. She received hostile gazes from the most popular boys of the school who everyone wanted to be associated with, all of a sudden. And a few more new faces had joined their club. Not to forget the most handsome guy she had ever seen with the evocatively familiar pair of molten silver eyes, kept running away from her as if they were the magnets of the same poles repelling. Wanting to do nothing with her. And let's add all the more number of increased accidents that could have been pretty much fatal, to the damned list.
The next thing she knows is that she's been saved, most of the times, by the very same handsome boy who would have acted like she didn't exist any other time.
Just what in the hell was even going on? Because it was no less than a battlefield that she found herself in.
But the question was, would she make it out with her life and heart intact?
1. Burst into tears looking at the word 'Chemistry'
I was dead. Or supposed to be dead because I had actually died there, in the intensive care unit. Right under the supervision of the nurses and doctors after a period of five days of being declared a brain-dead. My heart had stopped beating... My life had ended before the eyes of my very own mother who shattered down to fall on her knees beside my bed. My father held onto the wall for support while he watched in shock the straight line of the monitor with an irritating buzz noise. Being the youngest child, I was the most loved one. Especially, after losing three of their children of different ages, leaving me to be the only child alive with my parents, it was really hard to take in the news of death of yet another child. Even worse, watching it. But I didn't know this all. Why? The reason was simple: because I was dead... No longer did the heart pump inside my chest, no longer did my lungs needed air, no longer was the pulse thumping under my thin pale skin, no longer was my hospital uniform cladded body warm. It was useless to cry over my cold body because I wasn't coming back to life. And it was all because of that stupid driver who drove over hitting me on the road and raced the hell out of there. It was a clear hit and run case, paving my way to the premature death. The doctor started to guide my parents out of the room to discuss about the formalities. The nurse removed the ventilator pipe from my mouth and started to remove the other little syringes that had been inserted into me, when, the monitor spiked up and down indicating a feeble and tiny heartbeat. Which she thankfully had noticed and ran out of the room to call for the doctor. It was a tiny miny hope and they weren't going to dispose it. And I was grateful that they did not because I was now here breathing deeply into the stale air of the corridors of the high school. Oh boy, I was so glad to be here again. Students turned to regard me with pity as I walked down the familiar corridors or rather limp. Not that they knew anything else other than me meeting with a fatal accident, in fact nor did I remember what had happened that fateful night. I woke up to my parents staring at me intently. Relief and happiness gleamed on their tired faces. They didn't give a flying poop about what might have happened to bring me back to life but then not everyone were my parents. The doctors, nurses and even the cops directly and indirectly questioned about an event that involved me and no one knew about it. Including me. Shaking the same old questions out of my head, I limped my way inside the classroom with the help of a crutch. My bad fortune or rather a good one, I had only one broken leg cover in plaster of paris apart from the healed internal injuries. The doctors had freaked out on learning that my organs had healed and were functioning healthily. That had been one of the reasons why they pestered me about the blacked out days of my life. Or rather just a particular blacked out day. Only god knows what I was supposed to answer to the questions thrown my way. The situation resonated with students asking an arts teacher about quantum physics. People, be a little more sensible and stopped asking a dead girl brought back to life questions about how she was saved. For goodness sake, I hadn't even known how I ended up being dead until my parents filled me in. "Snow!" I turned to look at Mr. Knowls looking at my stick for a body. I had been through a major weight loss making none of my clothes fit me properly. The only thing that fit me from my closet was an old summer dress which had grown tight for me about a year or two ago... So here I was, wear a musty smelling summer dress under a cardigan in the start of the autumn and facing a saddened face of Mr. Knowls. Not everyone knew but Mr. Knowls was my uncle, Uncle Ted Knowls. The eldest brother of my mother's. I smiled sheepishly at my awaiting uncle. "You alright there, dear?" He asked looking at me from head to toe. "It's alright, it's just taking me time hobbling up and down," I shrugged at him. "We would have known who had caused your accident if the meter maid hadn't been too busy to do her job." I didn't reply to that because the memories of that night were blurry in my head. He must have taken in my lost expression and nodded in understanding, "it's alright, take your time. You have got yourself special permission from the principal." Gently placing his hand behind my back, Uncle Ted ushered me into his science lab. The class was already full, like usual with only one seat left for me. I hobbled to the middle of the class and to the empty seat beside Miranda. Miranda Elford was a silent girl, more on the geeky side but it didn't matter as long as she wasn't mean. One truth people had to keep in mind when they came to this school, it was filled with meanest, nastiest, crazy bitches. Take one for Christine Bourne, the captain of the cheerleaders or rather I could say something like bitchy bitches. The queen bee of the school. She had raised a whole new drama upon not being able to land herself with one of the three new boys that joined in the middle of the term last year. I don't know what it was about them but something didn't feel right. Not that I knew anyone of them personally, I might be wrong after all. I couldn't help but glance at one of them sitting in the back of the class, Dylan Barbosa. The chestnut hair looked more like chocolate in the dark of the corner as he sat there eyeing the chemicals before him like they were just bottle of paints. His amber eyes didn't even try to hide how bored he was while his partner, Kyle tried to flirt with every girl who made googly in their direction. Or more specifically in Dylan's direction. Kyle was a football jock or more accurately a joke to the team till last year. Then Dylan came crashing him and winning his place and Kyle had no other choice but try to hang out with his competitor to not get kicked out of the team but he ain't got any success. No one could hang out with the three hotties of the school, let it be a boy or a girl. Except for Carlene McLeish. West Zervos, who I assume to be the leader of their little gang dates McLeish. A beautiful brunette who hadn't received much attention from anyone before Zervos. All the three were inhumanely beautiful and stuck to themselves. People were kind of getting used to them being around but then there were still many girls trying to catch at least one of the three men of their little group. Not even caring that one of them was already taken. Heights of desperation, I tell you. Dylan scowled at the paper ball thrown his way as if it was a spider but I was quite sure that the paper consisted a phone number or a flirty proposal but this guy didn't even bother to open it. The guy was hot and all to the next level but the catch was that he couldn't clear chemistry to save his ass... Not only that, him failing the lab had caused Alana to lose her hard earned credits causing both of them to merely pass. Poor girl, had been cursing like a sailor the entire week and burst into tears looking at the word 'Chemistry'. Uncle Ted drank like crazy that entire week, blaming himself for that condition of Alana's. After all, he was the one who made them lab partners. His decision might have been disastrous to Alana but it had saved Zervos. West was partnered with Carlene and they both managed to pass the subject with flying colors. It might have been one of the reasons for them to end up together. Anyway, why was I even thinking about them when I had a class to concentrate on? I had to cover up the portions I missed for three weeks, while I had self-studied the other give weeks portions of total two months I had missed the school and that didn't allow me the room to daydream. **Hey lovelies! So, as requested by many, I'm starting this series early, hence it will be slow updates. This one is for all the lovely followers who had been so patient till now❤️❤️ - Vic❤️❤️
