The moment my father opened the door to the visiting Alpha, I knew there was going to be trouble. My father was being the ass that he so often could be. Defensive as ever, knowing he was incredibly close to having been caught. But hearing the Alpha question him took me by surprise. “I don’t know, is there something we can help with? Because it certainly sounded to me like we were disturbing something as we approached.” His words shook me to the core.
