Heather POV The sun rose in the sky and Mum woke up. She had managed to get about three hours' sleep, she went to the bathroom, freshened up, and returned to give me a kiss on the cheek and check on Mason. He still showed no signs of waking up, but he had stopped changing. I found it frustrating that I could not feel his emotions or him, he was part of me for such a brief time, but when he fell asleep and started transforming, all my ties to him were blocked, somehow I knew they weren’t broken, just blocked.
