I knocked on the table with my fingers to get Ace's attention. He was absorbed in something on his iPad, those transparent glasses of his perched on his nose. We were camped out at his house, trying to cram for our upcoming exams.
"What's up?" He glanced at me through the lenses, his expression a mix of curiosity and mild irritation at being interrupted.
"Just a reminder that we need to go and see Marcus today. He’s getting discharged in two days," I said, stretching my arms above my head to shake off the stiffness from studying for so long.
