I woke up to a warm, feather-light touch, a series of kisses trailing from my forehead down to my cheeks, and I couldn’t help but smile before I’d even opened my eyes. As I stretched awake, I heard Ace’s voice, low and affectionate.
“Good morning, Mrs. Donovan,” he murmured against my skin, his voice melting with warmth and a hint of teasing.
I opened my eyes to see his face close to mine, his gaze soft yet playful. “Good morning, Mr. Donovan,” I replied, barely able to keep the laughter out of my voice. I loved the sound of that—being his wife, his partner, officially his forever.
Ace grinned and straightened up, gesturing to the tray beside the bed. “I’ve got something special for my wife today. Breakfast in bed, your favorites,” he announced with a bit of flair.
