I had a feeling who was behind all this chaos. After dropping Bella off, I headed straight to Dad’s office. When I walked in, I saw papers strewn across his desk, and he looked more frazzled than I’d ever seen him. Something big was going down.
“Dad,” I called out, and he motioned for me to sit.
“I have something to tell you,” I said, locking eyes with him.
“So do I,” he replied, the tension between us thickening.
A heavy silence filled the room before he finally spoke. “I'll go first, but I need you to stay calm.”
I scoffed internally. If only he knew about the volcano ready to erupt inside me. Brad had crossed every line, and he was going to pay. “What is it?” I asked.
