*Adrian’s POV*
As the woman flood my bride to be with words of congratulations and excitement I decide to take the opportunity to approach my Father, who made no attempt to congratulate me or welcome Cora. I know what I said to Cora earlier had truth, but the small little lie I told her was that the drama never blows over quickly. It does go away eventually, but only after some other event grabs their attention. My family is very judgmental and controlling and I refuse to let them into my private life, not now. The trick comes in confronting them and standing my ground as Alpha and head of the family, while trying not to scare my mate. She can handle it, I’ll help her, I assure myself. As long as we stand together we can handle any storm that blows our way.
