The soothing chirping woke me up. My eyes were greeted by the warmth of the morning sun. I rubbed my eyes before sitting on the bed. Then, slowly moving the baldachin, I stepped on the carpeted floor.
Kayla came by yesterday after Hayden left. She made me eat dinner. We talked for hours, and she took away a portion of my headache. I felt much better, though my mind was still in a daze. Maybe a stroll around the castle would help me clear my head.
I washed up and wore a simple gown. Putting my hair into a bun hurriedly, I left the room. The corridors were empty as if the castle was still asleep.
I crept down the hallway decorated with immense frames and walked towards the castle entrance, trying my best not to get lost. I could tell I was living in the north wing.
