“Are you sure you want to go back to school today?” Finn asked for the hundredth time.
“I need to go back, Finn,” Lily insisted while pouring herself a cup of coffee. “I’ve already missed three days, and I can’t keep hiding here forever.”
“If it means you’d be safe, why not?” Finn argued. He had been majorly opposed to her suggestion of going back to school, but no amount of his pleading would change her mind.
“I will be safe at school,” Lily told him, walking over to him and hugging him around the waist. When he pulled her closer, she looked up into his concerned blue eyes and smiled. “You’ll be there, and so will Matt.”
