The next morning, Lily cautiously opened their door after hearing a knock to find her brother standing in front of her. Finn had seen him standing at the door on the camera he’d set up above the door, but Lily still couldn’t quite believe her eyes.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
Sam shuffled nervously on his feet. “Can I come in?”
“Uh, yeah, sure.” Lily opened the door fully and stepped back to let him into Finn’s apartment.
“Hey, Sam,” Finn greeted from where he was sitting drinking coffee at the bar counter. In his usual protective way, he’d told Lily to let him open the door, but she’d gotten there before he could.
“Hey, Finn,” Sam replied, before letting them know why he was there. “Look, I uh, I just wanted to come by and say congrats to you two in person.”
